Lift and Escalator Experts Launch Pioneering Solution

A pioneering solution for lift and escalator design will be launched by specialists LTR at Birmingham’s International Convention Centre (ICC).

Leicestershire-based LTR Lifts and Escalators have created a hi-tech CD planning tool aimed at architects, lift consultants and consultant engineers.

The planning tool allows users to review all the product options offered by LTR to meet the particular requirements of a project and to select the most appropriate elements for their needs.

The CD will then instantly generate downloadable technical drawings and specifications for each product, including the chosen elements, to help the user make an informed decision on the best solution.

Alan Dunkley, managing director of Hinckley-based LTR, said: “We are already a one stop source for the design, supply, installation and maintenance of escalators, lifts – including high rise models – and moving walkways. This CD draws on our years of expertise and represents a logical next step in the service we offer our customers.

“Lifts and escalators are an integral part of architecture, whether for practical purposes or to bring a building to life with movement and visual interest, but the design aspects can be challenging. The innovative technology of our CD planning tool delivers instant solutions to move design in this specialist field into a new dimension.”

The launch event, which will take place from 5pm on 17 January 2008 at the ICC, on Broad Street, Birmingham, will include a demonstration of the CD planning tool in action.
