LTR Scores Aston Villa Contract

Leicester based LTR Lifts and Escalators has scored a major new contract of premier proportions and is to assist in the major renovation project of Birmingham based Premier League football club, Aston Villa's famous Holte hotel, located on the stadium site.

LTR, located in Hinckley, has been awarded the prestigious contract by ISG InteriorExterior, the management contractor on the job.

Reportedly part of the ongoing strategy to 'give back to the fans', created under the new club ownership of Randy Lerner, the project will see the historic Holte hotel, which dates back to the 19th century and was once a focal point at Villa Park, restored to its former glory after being derelict for many years. The Victorian-style building is to be totally transformed, with the exterior restored to its original style, while the internal shell is to be completely gutted and rebuilt with new furnishings, a new pub/lounge area and further facilities to accommodate match days, social events and other functions.

In order to enable easy transportation throughout the extensive building that comprises of four storeys, LTR is to supply and install an 8-person passenger lift in a deal worth £30,000.

Having commenced in November last year, the renovation project is to be completed in May 2007.
