Lifts Specialist Signs Exclusive Chinese Deal

Leicestershire-based LTR Lifts and Escalators have signed a groundbreaking, exclusive deal with a major Far East manufacturer.

Under the three-year deal, Chinese company BLT will exclusively supply escalators to LTR in the UK and also give LTR access to their range of lifts, including high rise models designed for buildings of more than six floors.

The two companies have been working successfully together for around 18 months but had not had an agreement formalising the relationship until the deal was signed in October. BLT, based in Shenyang, China, is a major industry figure in the Far East, producing around 7,000 lifts and 4,000 escalators every year.

As part of the deal, BLT will be providing specialist training for LTR’s team of engineers to extend their existing expertise.

LTR, based in Hinckley, are a one stop source for the design, supply, installation and maintenance of lifts, escalators and moving walkways. As well as providing a comprehensive portfolio of products, LTR services include initial advice and design, project management and a planned maintenance and call-out service.
