Lifts Experts Go Up in the World with High Rise Solutions

Leicestershire-based LTR Lifts and Escalators is set to hit new heights with the launch of new lift solutions for high rise buildings.

The company, based in Hinckley, is already established as a single source supplier of lifts, escalators and moving walkways, as well as providing services including design, project management and a planned maintenance and call-out service.

Now, thanks to a deal with Chinese lift and escalator manufacturer BLT, the company can now supply lifts solutions for high rise buildings of six or more floors. The three-year deal, signed in October, also makes LTR the exclusive UK supplier of BLT’s range of escalators.

Alan Dunkley, managing director of LTR, said: “We believe that by offering high rise lift solutions, we will open the door to many new opportunities and enhance the services we offer to our existing and future customers.

“High rise buildings, whether residential flats, offices or mixed use, are well-established on the UK’s architectural landscape so it makes sound business sense to us to explore this market.

“Adding high rise lifts to our portfolio perfectly complement the other products and services that we offer. BLT will also be working with our engineers so that we can draw on their expertise in this new field.”
